Charter Standard - Code Of Conduct

This code of conduct applies to any person connected with the club.

The Club Committee and Managers agree to:

  1. keep all players/parents informed of match/training times/venues or changes to them as early as possible.
  2. the best of their ability give help and equal opportunity for each child to improve.
  3. not be a negative role model to the children e.g. swearing, drinking alcohol at matches/training.
  4. listen to any questions the players or parents may have and answer them honestly.
  5. make available to parents as requested any information on the club's finances.
  6. not incite any form of discrimination or child abuse.
  7. ensure the training under the FA Junior Managers coaching course or any other FA course guidelines is followed.

The Players agree to:

  1. attend as many training sessions and matches as possible.
  2. attend the above with the appropriate equipment e.g. shin pads, boots/trainers.
  3. listen quietly to what is being said by the Manager.
  4. accept and have respect for decisions made by the Manager.
  5. not use bad language or behave in a manner likely to embarrass the club.
  6. not smoke or drink alcohol at training sessions or matches.
  7. look after any kit and any other clothing/equipment provided.
  8. report any injuries to your Parents and Manager.
  9. ask any questions politely if you are not sure of anything.
  10. enjoy themselves and always give 100% commitment.

The Parents / Carers agree to:

  1. pay all playing fees set by the club committee.
  2. attend matches whenever possible and help with transport/nets etc.
  3. not incite any form of discrimination or child abuse.
  4. not shout abuse, unfair or negative criticism of referees, players or opposition players and officials.
  5. not interfere with team selection.
  6. inform the manager as soon as you know your child is unavailable for a match/training session.
  7. not coach the players during the game to avoid confusion with the Manager's instructions, but reasonable encouragement will be acceptable.
