Roach under 18’s travelled to Atherton on Sunday and brought all three points back to Heywood with a comfortable and convincing victory. Open Age 2nds – Match Report 6/3

The open age second team continued their push for promotion with a hard fought win over Rossendale on Saturday. For the first half hour, both teams battled hard, and chances were created at either end, but Roach took the lead when Ross Jones slid the ball past the opposing keeper. Roach travelled to Chadderton Park for the quarter final game in the main cup and Roach started the game the brightest and soon began to take charge of the game in midfield with Harry Roche,Tom Rooney and Connor Sugden working hard and playing some good football to create some good half chances. Under 7s Black – Match Report 6/3

Roach Dynamos Under 7 Blacks made the short trip to Woodbank in excellent form on Saturday. With no more than 2 minutes on the clock, Roach burst forward, Josh Brooks and Curtis Newsham finding Kieran McIlvenny who outpaced the defender to smash the ball past the Woodbank keeper to give Roach the lead. Roach under 10s claimed another valuable three points on Saturday 27th February against one of there closest rivals Marauders Vulcans.

Roach Dynamos under 10s were in exceptional form yet again on Saturday 20th of February against a strong Marauders Tornadoes side that are also up there challenging for the Premiership title.

Roach Dynamos Under 7 Blacks played host to Woodbank looking to make it three wins on the bounce. Roach started slowly however Woodbank were unable to take advantage of this and Roach were spurred into life when Curtis Newsham mesmorised the Woodbank defence and saw his shot agonisingly hit the post and come back out. The open age second team entertained Tottington, the team that they beat last week in a 6-5 thriller. This week, it was more of the same, but with even more goals. Roach started well, attacking straight from the kick-off. After only 1 minute they went 1-0 ahead with a fine volley from Connor Sugden.  The pressure continued, Roach coming close with headers from Lee Bagshaw and Connor Sugden.  Harry Roche was having a fine game in midfield, spreading the ball well to wingers Connor Sugden and Tom Rooney. Players Wanted for Roach Under 10s

In our last season at 7a-side before the move up to 11a-side, we are looking to recruit new quality footballers to an already very talented successful squad.
Interested players will be invited to train with the current squad of ten with a view to signing in the summer.
One new player has already secured himself a place in the squad for the start of next season.
