Roach 1st team played hosts to Chew Moor Brook(CMB) Res, who are top of the league and what a match. At half time Roach with an outstanding performance were 3-1 in front with a hat trick from man of the match Steve Taylor, and good performances from Ryan Orman and Ashley Bainbridge in centre defence and a master class in midfield by Steve Hogg.
In the second half CMB came back strongly to equalise at 3-3 but then the outstanding Steve Taylor scored again with a stunning strike to complete a four timer and then a good stike by Adam Davies made it 5-3 but CMB would not lie down and they scored a fourth, making the final score 5-4 with Roach after three successive wins against top sides now well placed to get promotion…and Championship??
