Under 12s – Match Report 20/3

Roach Dynamos Under 12s played Walshaw FC in the quarter finals of the main cup. Walshaw started well taking a early lead, but Roach responded with Sam Gibson scoring the leveller and then going 2-1 up. Strong play from both teams saw Trent Simms and Oliver Connelly Ashworth linking up well throughout the game, but with one minute left and Roach winning 3-2 Walshaw levelled to send the game into extra time. Once again Roach went into the lead but Walshaw equalized with minutes left and the game went to penalties where Jacob Collins came into his own in the Roach net. He saved all Walshaws penalties to send Roach through to a tricky semi final with Copperpot. A great performance from a team that are second in the Prem with a chance of winning the league as well.
