Roach started well, attacking straight from the kick-off. After only 1 minute they went 1-0 ahead with a fine volley from Connor Sugden. The pressure continued, Roach coming close with headers from Lee Bagshaw and Connor Sugden. Harry Roche was having a fine game in midfield, spreading the ball well to wingers Connor Sugden and Tom Rooney. After 15 minutes Daniel Wright scored a fine goal with a long range effort. Radcliffe then managed to score a breakaway goal to make the score 2-1. By the end of the 1st half, Roach regained a 2 goal lead after a good finish from Harrison Kilroy.
At the beginning of the second half, Radcliffe began stronger, but could not break down the strong defence of Lee Bagshaw, Curtis Rowlands and Mitchell Clarke. Niall Barnes the keeper had a quiet game and was only forced into one fine save.
Roach continued to attack with a clearance after Lee Bagshaw headed off the line, the ball fell to Daniel Wright on the halfway line, who ran forward and calmly side footed the ball past the advancing keeper. The pressure then continued with Roche, Kilroy and Bagshaw all coming close. The fifth goal however was from a penalty awarded for a disputed handball. Wright converting from the spot.
There were a number of excellent performances but man of the match was awarded to Harry Roche for a hard-working performance.
