Roach Dynamos Under 7 Blacks played host to Woodbank looking to make it three wins on the bounce. Roach started slowly however Woodbank were unable to take advantage of this and Roach were spurred into life when Curtis Newsham mesmorised the Woodbank defence and saw his shot agonisingly hit the post and come back out. Roach stepped up a gear now and were camped inside the Woodbank half, Newsham and Josh Brooks linked well to set up Kieran McIlvenny but his effort was well saved by the keeper. Roach finally took the lead with another solo goal from Newsham, a trademark jinking run and shot this time beating the despairing keeper. Lifted by the goal Roach then set about their opponents with real purpose. Ciaran Sherry charged down a goalkick and was fastest to his feet to slot the ball home and make it 2-0 to Roach.
In the second half, Roach carried on where they had left off, Niall Morris in the thick of the action creating a chance for Max Murray whose effort was smothered by the keeper. The midfield of Ethan Armstrong, Brooks and Newsham protected Logan Potts and Morris on the rare ocassions that Woodbank ventured into the Roach half. Roach were well and truly on top now, more good work from Brooks and Morris led to a chance for McIlvenny but his effort was once again thwarted by the keeper. A long throw from Brooks fell to Armstrong who slotted past the keeper to make it 3-0 to Roach and seemingly put the game beyond Woodbank. Having worked hard Roach took a small breather and Woodbank capitalised catching Roach on the break and slotting past Todd-McGee in the Roach goal to make it 3-1. Morris made a good interception and found Newsham in space, he played Brooks through on goal but his effort hit the post.
A good team performance once again with special mentions to Niall Morris and Josh Brooks, however Man of the Match was Curtis Newsham for an excellent display in midfield.
