The under 18’s entertained Turton on Sunday and came away with all three points after a real battling match. Danny Wolstenholme opened the scoring for Roach on five minutes and then the home side dominated the first half, doubling their lead just before the interval courtesy of a superb strike from Jamie Diamond. The second half though, was a different story. Roach were on their back foot most of the half and the visitors scored twice in twenty minutes to make it 2-2. The game looked like it was going to end in a draw, but with just three minutes remaining, central midfielder and man of the match, Tom Blundell, set himself up and volleyed the ball from thirty yard. The shot beat the keeper to win the game.
