Under 10s – Match Report 13/2

Roach Dynamos under 10s made the journey to premier division title rivals Westbury Wanderers on Saturday 13th of February and came away with all 3 points.
In what was an eagerly anticipated match Roach were fantasic from 1st minute to last, and were superior to there opponents in every department.
Roach started the match on fire and could of been two up in the first five minutes with forwards Brad Lynch and Matthew Royle causing the Westbury defence all sorts of problems with superb link up play. Captain and central midfield driving force Ethan Littler agonisingly hitting the post after great work from the forwards and his midfield partner Brandon Kwei-Sutcliffe.
The opening goal just had to come Roachs way and Ethan Littler duly obliged curling in an exceptional free kick.
More was soon to follow with Brad Lynch finishing off a tremendous move that started from Roachs own box.
Two nil to Roach at half time.
With Roachs defence of Adam Grimshaw,Jordan Parr and Corey Marsh as solid and dependable as ever more chances and goals inevitebly came Roachs way in the second half.
After great work from Alex Simpson, Brad Lynch rammed home Roachs third which was quickly followed by a superb fourth from Alex Simpson assisted by the pacy Kai Miller.
Westbury were shell shocked and the closest they came to scoring in the second half was a penalty expertly saved by keeper Chris Brown who had an outstanding game throughout.
On the day Roach were worthy winners showing real desire and effort added to there brand of slick pass and move football.
Man of the match being awarded to Ethan Littler for displaying all of the above and providing a moment of pure class from the free kick that provided the all important first goal.
